How to Make Tapestries of Hope

  • Scissors

  • Glue

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1:

Using your fabric scraps, cut and design your image or message for your tapestry. Try to think of something that brings you joy.

Step 2:

Lay out your large fabric square and put your design on the square. This works best if you iron your square first.

Step 3:

Glue down (or stitch) your pieces into place. It will need to dry several hours before you can hang it up.

Step 4:

Embellish your tapestry with crayon or marker accents. Poke holes to add tassels with yarn. Stitch the edges with thread. Use materials you have at home to make your tapestry as fun or as simple as you’d like!
