ART CAMPS
Exploring clay, drawing, painting, 3D
construction and more, participants will
complete an assortment of individual
and group projects in each weekly theme,
culminating in the 2010 Summer Camp
Art Show at our 3rd annual Fall Out of Summer
Festival in September.

FULL DAY (M-F 8:30am-3pm): Ages 7-12
$175* per week after discount*
HALF DAY
(M-F 8:30-11am): Ages 5-7

Week 1: June 28-July 2
ARTS OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS

FULL DAY ONLY

Sticks, shells, leaves and vines take on new
forms as young artists explore Mother Natures
art closet. The possibilities are as endless
as the sky.

Week 2: July 5-9

SUMMER IN THE CITY

FULL DAY ONLY

City life and urban art are the inspiration for
this week.Transforming the ordinary into the
extraordinary, participants will work together
to build their own empire, filled with everything
from custom buildings and street signs to
sidewalk drawings and murals.

Week 3: July 12-16

JUNGLE EXPLORATION

FULL OR HALF DAY

Find out what happens when art collides with
the deep secrets of the rainforest. From the
forest floor to the canopy, participants will
explore, recreate and invent creatures and
habitats of the wild world.

Week 4: July 19-23

MAGICAL ARTISTS

FULL OR HALF DAY

Armed with imagination and bounteous art
supplies, participants will craft fantastical
creatures and whimsical wonderlands.
This camp is not for mere Muggles.
Wizards and wizardresses only.

Week 5: July 26-30

UNDERWATER ADVENTURES

FULL OR HALF DAY

Sunken ships, coral reefs and other saltwater
wonders fill this week devoted to ocean exploration.
Create art dedicated to the deep blue sea with a variety of materials, some straight from nature,
and others from the artist’s creative arsenal.

Week 6: Aug 2-6

COSMIC ARTS

FULL OR HALF DAY

The sky is the limit in this week devoted to art
in outer space! The planets and their moons,
constellations and astronauts will be the inspiration for art of galactic proportions.

Week 7: Aug 9-13

PIRATE ART & TREASURES

FULL DAY ONLY

Walk the plank into a week of pirate-inspired art
projects. Immerse yourselves in the dark and
enchanting world of sunken treasures and life on the high seas.

Week 8: Aug 16-20

MEET THE ARTIST

FULL DAY ONLY

Paint your own version of Michelangelos Sistine
Chapel. Immerse yourself in the worlds of the
masters, from Ansel Adams to Picasso to Warhol, emulating their techniques while creating your own
masterpieces.

Week 9: Aug 23-27

GREEN ART

FULL DAY ONLY

In this week, young artists will tip their berets to
Mother Earth by crafting art from recycled materials.
This is the camp for the child with a limitless
imagination and an appreciation for the world of
possibilities that thinking green can offer.

ROCK and ROLL CAMP
A 2 week camp culminating in a LIVE rock show.

Each donated item translates to a 5% discount that is applied to one camp. Up to 6 items can be donated per full day camp (for a total of 30% off tuition). Up to 4 items can be donated per half day camp (for a total of 20% off tuition). Discounts do not apply to after camp care.

The following donations will be accepted:
  • boxes of graham crackers (any brand)
  • mini marshmallows (16 oz.) (any brand)
  • Twizzlers, Skittles (3 lb. bags)
  • small Tootsie Rolls (Midgees) (360 pieces in a bag)
  • pretzels (16 oz. bag)
  • vanilla frosting (any brand) (1 lb. containers)
  • Frosted Mini Wheats or Golden Grahams (2 or 3lb. bags)
  • large hot melt glue sticks (1/2 in., long or short)

 

All donations must be new and unopened. Donations MUST be present at the time of registration.
