PRINTMAKING Ages 8 - 13 | Anna Thompson Mondays 4:30 – 6:30pm | $205 Create a variety of images and patterns using traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques. Students will explore stencils, stamps, collage, black and transfer print techniques that will result in exciting works and experiences.
WHEEL THROWING Teen – Adult | Shannon Casey Mondays 5:30 - 7:30pm | $240 In this class students will learn and practice ceramic techniques on the electric wheel including concepts of wedging, centering, and other various basic methods. Students will leave this program with the ability to throw a cylinder, bowl, cup, plate, lidded pots/jars, bottle necks and handles. Students will also learn trimming and textural elements that they can chose to use on their forms. Various glazing practices and the many uses of glazing will take place in the latter weeks, dates depending on the pace of the collective group. Basic materials provided. This is a multi level course suitable for beginners to advanced students.
INTRODUCTORY DRAWING FOR THE BEGINNER Ages 15 - Adult | Hayley Perry Mondays 5 - 7pm | $205 This class will explore introductory drawing while using a variety of media & techniques. Traditional drawing concepts such as line, value, gesture, and contour will be reviewed and applied to our classwork. Most drawings will be strict observational studies of landscape and still life.
CLAY HANDBUILDING Ages Teen - Adult | John Fazzino Mondays 6 - 8pm | $240 In this ceramics class, students will have access to our clay studio and a knowledgeable instructor who will give weekly demonstrations that will guide students along their creative journey. This class is appropriate for student new to the filed as well as the seasoned ceramicist looking to work on independent projects. Beginners to the field of hand building will learn the basics of ancient techniques such as pinch, slab and coil in order to learn a variety of skills that will yield unique ceramic vessels and sculptures of all shapes and sizes. Students will also have the opportunity to explore surface decorations and glazing techniques. Students with previous experience will have the opportunity to explore advanced building techniques that will allow for greater height, volume, and form. By combining slab and coil, students will learn how to push their work into three dimensions with greater ease. *This class is suitable for all levels, students beginner-advanced
DANCING WITH FIRE, RAKU CERAMICS Teen - Adult | Ginny Gillen Tuesdays 5:30 – 7:30pm | $270 *SPRING II ONLY (8 weeks, Class runs until June 13th) Students will be immersed in the world of clay; everything from prehistoric clay working methods, to the modern work of artistic ceramics. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills using the pottery wheel, utilizing sculpting and handbuilding, as well as learning technical aspects of clay including where it comes from, how it’s used how it’s recycled and eventually turned into a finished piece! During this program, students will explore different glazing and firing techniques including building, loading and firing a traditional Japanese Raku Kiln. Students will be directly involved in the magnificent process that brings this dance with fire possible. Safety precautions will be set in place so that students can have a blazingly amazing time!
FANTASY CREATURES Ages 8 - 14 | Lement Banton Tuesdays 4 - 5:30pm | $160 Bring the creatures from your imagination to life! Create original fantasy creatures and the environments they come from. Students will sculpt, shape, and form their creations using a variety of mediums, such as clay, metal, and pipe cleaners. No experience necessary.

STOP MOTION ANIMATION Ages 8 - 14 | Amanda Albanese Tuesdays 4:30 - 6pm | $180 *SPRING I ONLY This is an introductory course to this fascinating animation technique. If you have ever wondered how movie greats such as The Fantastic Mr. Fox or The Nightmare Before Christmas have been made, this is the class for you. Using yourself, drawings, cut out creations, Claymation and more will be learned in this exciting and creative new class.
OUTDOOR ART EXCURSIONS Ages 10 - 13 | Amanda Albanese Tuesdays 4 - 5:30pm | $180 *SPRING II ONLY In this exciting and new class outdoor excursions will meet the wonderful world of drawing and photography. Whether we are going on an trail walk, or investigating a historical part of the neighborhood, sketchbook and cameras will be in hand to observe, record, and discuss the everyday incredible things we see along the way. This class will also include outdoor drawing and sketching activities, digital camera usage and indoor studio time where we will learn how to draw from a photograph using various drawing techniques.
